DVDSP Scripting

Postby Mander on Wed Jan 28, 2009 11:05 am

I'm working with a multi video DVD and using the scripting functions in DVDSP to jump to a loop point I made in a motion menu. Basically it totally works in simulator just fine although the jump back is a few frames off, which I can live with. However, when I master it out, it doesn't work at all! Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem with DVDSP scripts.

When you "build out" your project, are you using DVD Player as an emulator to test the script?

Motion menus require rendering before the build process. Are you sure the render process has finished? Before creating the build, saving the project is required to initiate the render. Are the encoding prefs set to "encode on build" or as "background encode"?

Note on playback expectations before building: "Depending on your system and the number of motion items in the menu, motion menu playback may not be perfectly smooth in the Menu Editor. Once you build your project, playback will be perfect."
